Another Journey Begins

It seems honeymooning in Saint Lucia is good for the imagination. Last night, my new husband, who I shall refer to as Cupid, and I were lying in bed after making love for the fifth straight night. It was my first anal sex, and I have to say, I kinda liked it. We were talking, as we often do after sex, and, as sometimes happens when our euphoria gives way to post-coital delirium, we began joking about starting a blog of our exploits.

I’m a writer, so Cupid thought I could write about all the things we’ve done, all the things we want to do, my research into the various corners of sexuality, as well as the humorous failures we’ve suffered along the way. Not that there’s been many failures, but we still laugh at how I got a Ben Wa ball stuck inside my vagina, as well as how he had to help me get it out. Talk about mortifying. But it makes for a good story. One I’ll write up for next time.

At any rate, we got a good laugh about this “wacky blog idea” for about five minutes. Then Cupid said, “You know, maybe we should really think about doing this.”

I thought about it for a second and replied, “You might be on to something there, Cupid, as long as you share the writing responsibilities.” Of course, I didn’t call him Cupid, but only I shall know his real name.

And while we’re on that subject, using the names Cupid and Psyche was his idea. You see, the story of Cupid and Psyche is a fitting one for us. In mythology, Cupid’s intent was to make Psyche fall in love with a monster. But he dropped his arrow and pricked himself with it instead, falling in love with Psyche. But as is often the case in mythology, forever didn’t come easily for them. Obstacles stood in their way. In the end, all turned out as it should, and the two were married and lived happily ever after.

Just like me and my Cupid. We almost didn’t make it to our happily ever after, either, and yet, here we are. But that’s a story for another time.

As for the name of the blog, we’re in love, and chocolate has been a staple in our relationship from the beginning. So, why not. Love and Chocolate it is.

Oh, and Cupid did agree to share in the writing. That should make things interesting. I actually can’t wait to read his first post, which he claims to be working on as we speak.

So we invite you to follow along as we share all the torrid details of our love, from the naughty to the nice. The debauched to the innocent. Who knows, maybe we’ll help a lot more Cupids find forever-after with their Psyches, as well.

In love and chocolate,

-Psyche
